Pacific Cement Philippines, Inc. (PACEMCO) has Zero (0) Non-conformity result during the survellance audit on ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 by the CIP last November 19-20, 2009.
The Company, the first establishment to be certified to ISO 9001 Quality Management System in Caraga Region, is now certified to ISO 14001 Environmental Management System also. The two management systems are fully integrated and function as an Integrated Management System (IMS) and are certified to be conforming to the two internationally-recognized standards.
This year, the thrust is inclusion of Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) to the IMS and its certification to the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001 standard. The working teams are now preparing for this effort and are waiting for the official go signal.
Hurdling the ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 certification assessments is quite a remarkable feat for the different working teams considering other ongoing management programs requiring focus and similar effort.
